Ocasta Labs was founded by the team who successfully built and in 2007 sold WiderWeb Ltd (a leading mobile content adaptation company) to Openwave Systems Inc. WiderWeb automatically intercepted content designed for PC browsing and in real-time converted pages to mobile standard web pages optimised to specific devices. WiderWeb (rebranded OpenWeb) has been deployed in the network architecture at 3 UK, 3 Ireland, Yahoo Europe, Sprint, Belgacom, Vodafone Spain and Vodafone Portugal, serving over 60mn users worldwide.
Ocasta Labs is focused on next generation mobile web services, augmenting social networking developments and combining the power of emerging Internet standards with the capabilities of mobile operators to create compelling service offerings. Ocasta has produced systems and research tools for several leading mobile operators and continues to innovate in the field.
